The Last to Fall

So this last week I went down with the crud; the last to fall in our household of sickness. I was away from the office all week, working stealthily from my laptop, wrapped up in a blanket, my sweatshirt hood over my head with my unshaven chin sticking out. I'm not dead yet, but I think I might have come close. Now I understand what Miss Cynthia went through first hand. I'm still recovering. Don't make me laugh, or uncontrollable coughing follows.

On a lighter note (made me laugh and cough uncontrollably), Greg came out on stage in a Godzilla costume in the weekend services yesterday, and Dennis has the stage looking like a movie theater for the series "Creatures from the Deep." Even though I was barely alive, it was worth being present. Greg spoke on pride and humility. He said the costume was perfect for humiliating him, or something like that. Peace to my family.

Morning Fire

So this is how the day is going to start: with a beautiful sunrise. I'll take it.

This week has been another wild one. I've been involved with a number of very emotional issues and the people who are feeling the pain, producing the pain, even being a bit of a pain myself, I'm sure. These are the growing pains of a passionate people after God.

God continues to do wonderful things at Abundant Life, right through of all the humaness involved. It's exciting to see all the changed lives and all the energy. God is blasting through Abundant Life like the sun is blasting through the atmosphere this morning; with brilliance and beauty.

May the peace of Christ be mine and yours today.
