Today we took advantage of the sun and cold weather to explore the gorge. The old highway was icy, but beautiful.
We joked it was a dangerous adventure and between our cell phones, forty bucks in cash, and some credit cards, we'd probably be able to get home again regardless of any ill fate.
On the other hand we joked that people would talk for years after our icy death how stupid we were.
Oh well, we made it up the gorge and back just fine.

an icy death is a death well earned. I would have understood your eagerness to meet your peril on such a beautiful day.
