Sedona On My Mind (and in our spirit)

Tuesday we decided to go on a quest for spiritual enlightenment and we found ourselves pulled toward a gravitation vortex, and ended up in Sedona. Our spirits felt drawn toward the beautiful red mountains and a challenging trail to conquer.

We headed out to the Devil's Bridge, a gruelling uphill trek, but well worth the pain. At the top, we took this bridge from the devil, and relished in God's panoramic view. After the hike back down, we celebrated with a tailgate party of cheese, crackers and an ice cold Corona. We then looked again to the hills and heard them say "tla key paw key."

So we again set out on another journey to find the meaning of these words. We traveled through Sedona, searching diligently for any clues, when suddenly we came upon a Spanish Village that carried this name, Tlaquepaque.

We celebrated our discovery with licorice and chocolate covered pretzels. Weaving in and out of buildings, still seeking more spiritual enlightenment, we saw how others were enlightened through their God given artistic talent. We celebrated this by purchasing an ornament for our Christmas tree, instead of a $4950 bronze of an Indian.

After a long, tiring day, we began our journey home. On the way, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset. Perfect. We celebrated this with chinese food and a movie. God is good.

A beautiful day, and a beautiful blog to describe it. Very well put together, my dear mother.
